United States Fallen Heroes Foundation - Our Mission

The mission of the United States Fallen Heroes Foundation is to build a nationally recognized monument that will commemorate all of the brave servicemen and women of all branches of the United States military who have given their lives in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom.

The monument campaign is modeled after the successful campaign launched in 1979 to build the Vietnam War Memorial. The monument will be funded by patriotic American citizens and businesses. No federal or state government grants or funds will be solicited or accepted. The monument will be designed by an American citizen. The design will be chosen from submissions to a national design competition during the summer of 2010.

The memorial will be located in Kennedale, TX, and nearly 14 acres in size. There will be four components on the monument grounds: the monument itself, an area for reflection, a landmark easily visible from the nearby highway, and parking. The monument will recognize each of the 57 states, commonwealths, territories, and the District of Columbia independently. The flags of every state, commonwealth, and territory will be displayed. The memorial will be illuminated via eco-friendly lighting at night.

The monument will contain a photograph of each fallen hero. Name, service branch, unit, and KIA date will be listed below each photograph. This memorial will allow the citizens of this grateful nation to observe the face of every gallant and brave Airman, Marine, Sailor, and Soldier who have given their lives to protect and serve the United States of America.
